About Hunters 1866
Established in 1866 by William Cowan Hunter of Ireland, Hunters has the distinction of being one of Wagga’s oldest and longest running businesses. Originally located at the site of what is now 110 Fitzmaurice Street, the business was relocated in 1872 to its present location after devastating floods 2 years earlier. Today, Hunters1866 still sits proudly “on the hill” opposite the court house, at 68 Fitzmaurice Street Wagga.
Purchased by the Woodhouse family in 2000, Hunters1866 now specializes in custom corporate uniforms, workwear and sublimated sporting apparel to suit our customer’s individual requirements. We employ over 20 staff, including our fully trained Production Team, Purchasing Officers and Sales Representatives. Our onsite production operation comprises 24 embroidery heads, heat and sublimation presses and various print machines. As such, we are in a position to cope with any sized apparel order you may require.
We also offer a wide range of stationery and office products, school supplies, janitorial products, giftware, newspapers, magazines, greeting cards, horse rugs and lotto. For all enquiries call into our store or phone 02 69212121 and speak with our friendly staff.
